FLD Tasting Room is 5 Years Old: Milestone will be celebrated with very special bottle release
Our most ardent fans have been asking the question for months now: "when will the Wheated Bourbon be released?" Our poor tasting room staff members have had to deflect the pressure with pleas for patience and a standard response of "sometime in the next few months."
The truth is, it's not easy to get a product to market these days. Label approvals from the government can take 3-4 months and sourcing glass, corks, labels, etc all take significant lead times.
While we still can't give you a definitive date for the release, we are very close and expect to announce it in the next 30 days.
We've gone all out for this bottling. In addition to some very fine whiskey, it includes a hand blown glass bottle and hand written details about the barrel we've selected. The whiskey will be bottled at cask-strength, just over 100 proof. The cost will be $99 per bottle.
The release will be held on a Saturday in late September or early October. Only 150 bottles will be available, so we expect to sell out quickly. If you can't grab one of these special bottles and still want some Wheated Bourbon, there is plenty in the pipeline so we will be releasing more in the future. We'll keep you posted!
