Distillery Bottle Sale at Balcones

Tuesday, November 19, 2013
Texans pride themselves on being fiercely independent. Anytime I've visited the Lone Star State, I've nearly always heard the words "that ain't the way we do things in Texas." Well, although we outsiders may be ignorant of what Texas-style truly means (even Texans can't agree on this), there is one thing even we can hang our hat on. Its that if anyone does know how they do it in Texas, its Balcones.

For those that don't know, Balcones Distilling is an award winning Waco, TX-based craft distiller on a mission. One steeped in the long-standing Texan tradition that bigger is better and what's good enough for the rest ain't good enough for Texas. "We don't just make whiskey in Texas," Balcones states. "We make Texas whiskey."

Clearly, it isn't enough to simply make hand-crafted, world class whiskey in Texas. No, Texas is bigger than that. When it comes to whiskey, barbecue - hell even toast - Texans are driven to do things a little differently, bigger, bolder. To create their own flavor. To make it Texas-style.

You too can be a part of the new Texas whiskey tradition by joining Balcones at their next distillery bottle sale on December 7th at their Waco distillery location. For more information, visit their website and sign up for their event newsletter.
