Old Fashioned Moonshine Strikes Gold Again2 Medals in 7 Days for Dark Corner DistilleryAcacia honey, caramel corn and pudding pie are not the first flavors that come to mind when conjuring up the image of moonshine; but that’s exactly how the Beverage Testing Institute (BTI) described Dark Corner Distillery’s Moonshine at the 2014 International Review of Spirits. “Amazingly smooth and balanced at proof with great subtle sweet corn flavors. Great Moonshine,” stated the BTI tasting panel. The judges enjoyed it so much they awarded it a Gold Medal and 92 out of 100 points. This highly coveted award raises the total medal count for Dark Corner’s flagship Moonshine to 15, only after receiving a Silver Medal from the Inaugural Straight Up Texas Spirits Competition earlier the same week. The Beverage Testing Institute was founded in 1981 with the objective of providing fair and impartial reviews for consumers.
