Three years in the making, Ironroot Republic Distillery began when brothers Jonathan and Robert Likarish paid a visit to a craft distillery in Spokane, Washington while vacationing with their family. Excited by what they saw, they coupled their interest for making innovative spirits and liqueurs with their desire to create a product using fresh, local ingredients to establish Denison's first distillery, Ironroot Republic.
“It is important to us that all of our products are made from scratch,” says owner Jonathan Likarish. “We work very closely with a grain mill in Muenster, Texas to ensure we are using the only the best raw ingredients. We also look forward to collaborating with local brewers and distillers to develop unique concepts.”
Ironroot Republic is currently offering Moonshine and Vodka, but has barreled whiskey waiting to be tapped next year. Later this winter they intend to launch a Coffee Liqueur as well as a Gin.
“It's been a long time coming, but we can't wait for our doors to be open for everyone to experience Ironroot Republic,” says Robert Likarish.
