Bill has launched numerous projects over the years, perhaps best known in these circles for founding the American Distilling Institute, which has been the requisite jumping off point for aspiring distillers for more than a decade. Now Bill, and son Erik, are taking on one of their biggest projects to date, Owens & Sons Malt Company.
Malted barley is the backbone for brewing and distilling. Owens & Sons will create floor-malted barley in small batches for craft breweries, craft distilleries, bakers, home brewers and select shops selling brewing supplies.
